Questions people actually ask
Fair questions. Honest answers.
Most people's first reaction to Vanar is to laugh. The second is a question. Here are the usual ones.
The idea
So what do I actually get?
A monthly bill. That's it. No coaching, no course, no streaks, no badges, no community feed. You name one goal, put dues on it you would rather not lose, and go do the work. The bill does the nagging so we don't have to.
Wait. You charge money for nothing?
Yes, and we are weirdly proud of it. Free things are the easiest things to ignore. A monthly bill shows up every month and asks one slightly rude question: is this still worth it? That question is the whole product. The long version is in Why pay for nothing?
Will it actually work?
Honestly? We don't know if it will work for you. Money on the line changes some people's behaviour some of the time. Vanar is a reasonable bet, not a promise. Anyone who guarantees you will finish the book is selling you a course.
Does anyone check whether I did the work?
No. Nobody will check on you. That is your job now. The only thing that checks in is the monthly renewal email, and it asks one question: still worth it?
Can I have more than one goal?
One. Just one. The second goal is usually how the first one escapes.
Who is this for?
People who have already done a lot right and still have one chapter they keep not starting: the book, the company, the half marathon. If you need a pep talk, we are the wrong club. Not for everyone. On purpose.
The money
How much does it cost?
You choose: $20, $50, $100, $500, $1,000 or $5,000 a month. Pick an amount that feels meaningful, never painful. If it would cause you real hardship, it is the wrong amount, and we would rather you picked a smaller one.
Do I get my money back when I reach my goal?
No. It is dues, not a deposit or a bet. You don't win the money back. You just win.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, from your account. Renewals stop, and you stay a member until the end of the month you have paid for. No retention call, no "are you sure?" maze. We won't make it weird.
The wall
What is the members' wall?
A public wall of everyone who is in, in the order they joined. You appear as "Vanar member" with your seat number and dues until you add a name.
Will people see my goal or my email?
Your email: never, anywhere. Your goal: only if you choose Public. You can switch to Private, change your name or leave the wall anytime from your account.
The boring but important bits
Are you going to spam me?
No. You will get sign-in codes when you ask for them, one welcome note when you join, written by hand, and one email a month when your membership renews. Consider that one us checking up on you: politely, monthly, with a receipt attached. No newsletter, no "we miss you", no tracking pixels.
What do you do with my data?
As little as possible. We keep what we need to run your membership and never sell it or use it for ads. Card and UPI details stay with our payment gateway. The details are in our privacy policy, written to be read.
How do I delete my account?
Email hello@vanar.club and we will erase it within 30 days. Billing records stay for as long as tax law requires; everything else goes.
I have a question that isn't here.
Email hello@vanar.club. A human answers.
Still curious? That is usually a sign.
One goal, dues you choose from $20 to $5,000 a month, and nothing else.
Not for everyone. On purpose.
Vanar is a monthly personal commitment subscription. No coaching, content or guaranteed results are included. Cancel future renewals anytime from your account. Terms · Privacy · Cancellation & refunds
